  Absolutely loved this gelato place and so sad I found it on my last night in Porto. The flavors were so unique and yummy. I ended up getting the coconut ginger and the lemon basil (even though I am not a basil fan, this was good). My friend did the salted caramel peanut (which was off the hook amazing) and pistachio. We swapped half way cause they were all so good. But the best part was the service we received (and I'm sorry I didn't get their names but they were working on 9/12 at 7pm). Took the time to explain the flavors, offer pairings and let us sample! When (and not if) I come back, will definitely make this my gelato spot!   Delicious ice cream with deep, rich flavours like the coffee, pistachio and hazelnut scoops or you can get bright, fresh and zingy scoops of piña colada or lemon tart. The ice cream is soft and luxurious, just like you want from real gelato, and they threw in a little branded wafer with our tubs. There is a strong range of flavours of all genres, from traditional flavours like vanilla and chocolate, fruit sorbets like mango, and cocktail flavours like caipirinha. They also do a range of sizes and the servers were friendly and happy to help. They spoke great English but you can just point at what you want anyway. There's seating inside and some outside, and the prices are very reasonable. It's all very clean and they're attentive to mess, and plenty of napkins available. This place is just round the corner from the Palacio de Bolsa, and is worth the steep walk up. I would definitely go back to this gelateria to try more flavours, and I would recommend going here to cool down on a hot day. It's a great sweet thing to follow a great burger at the Holy Sandwich Shop around the corner, and get a pastel de nata at Castro (also around the corner but the other way...).   Only 4 days in Porto but found this place on the first day and returned every day afterwards! All made on site and you can watch it happening. We had free sample of port ice cream before it went on sale and just had to choose it afterwards. We had cones every time. I opted for 3 flavours, my wife 2 (her loss, I think :-) ) I had my favourites but everyone will like different. Offered a taster of every flavour before decision time. Lots of vegan options available. We had the pistachio and peanut and caramel (small cone €3). Both flavors were very good.   The wide variety of classic and experimental flavours make this a must go-to spot, particularly in the hot weather. Whilst we were there, the staff were very helpful and gave us free samples to ensure we were happy with the flavours we chose. The wide variety of flavours meant you could create some very interesting combinations of flavours. I got the coconut ginger ice cream and it really surprised me with how well it worked! Whilst we were eating, we were given a small sample of a new flavour straight out of the lab (lemon and basil) and it really blew our minds!   We have been here twice now and I think we will come back again 😁 The prices are lower than other places, at least 4,20 euro for 3 scoops (there is no price difference if it's a cup or cone). We loved the pineapple mint sorbet, pistachio (very earthy and natural tasting), dulce de leche, pastel de nata, and d'ouro (port wine flavor). They were all excellent! Except we wouldn't order the d'ouro flavor again, not that it was bad, but the others are much better.   This place is the best! We happened upon this gelato shop while waiting for the Palacio da Bolsa tour. It is super clean, has air conditioned seating inside, and the servers are very friendly.   Tried the coconut milk & ginger. Although I couldn't detect any coconut flavour, the ginger was really strong and with a great thick texture. I usually use pistachio as a benchmark but they don't have that flavour. It does cost €2.8 per scoop, which is well above other places around.   Gelatopia is hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had. They freely offer samples to help you make a difficult decision. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their gelato. We each had a small tub, and enjoyed it so much we bought another flavour for the walk back to the hotel. We chose Hazelnut, Mango, Mohito and Chocolate - each was excellent. My girlfriend and I sat inside for a reprieve from the heat, they have air conditioning and fun, quality decor. It’s clean and well spaced for COVID19. Well.. the flavours were okish and some are made in a 'natural & homemade' way.. the temp of the ice cream was not good tho, because once we left the shop it started to melt kinda immediately - which should not happen (if there is no sun & hot outdoor temps).   Most amazing flavours in Porto for me so far. Love the zesty tangerine sorbet which is wonderfully refreshing on a warm December afternoon. The Porto sorbet is also nice. There are various vegan options including dark chocolate, so intense it did not feel like typical vegan options. The texture and the flavours are out of this world. They only use fresh ingredients so everything tastes like it should. Having tried gelato in Italy, I can't get over how good this is.
