  September 2023 I am back for more diving 🤩😍🥰. Just finished 14 dives in the last 3 weeks, covering local dive sites in Albufeira and Sagres, as well as the brand new Art Reef Project, with unique sculptures underwater. Absolutely, spectacular diving experience with Indigo Divers. I took my nephew for Discovery Scuba Diving with Steve and Jo, as his 18th Birthday present, he loves Scuba Diving instantly! The attention and care from Jo snd Steve is indeed, exceptional! Truly appreciated. My ulterior motive is now achieved, my nephew will definitely be a scuba diver in the making, very soon. 🤩😍🥰 Thank you very much Jo snd Steve. Less then 20 mins drive away from my home. 🧡 In the last couple of days, I had some awesome dives with Steve and Jo. Properly run dive centre, with excellent practice in scuba diving. Spot-on safety measures, on the boat and during diving. They are extremely familiar with the dive sites, I am certain that, they know all the underwater residents' whereabouts! Just love their diving etiquette! Superb! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing. Just a note, no discrimination on my ancient A Clamp, it works perfectly well. 🤪😝😜 it won't pop, with proper insert from Steve. Medidas de segurança pontuais, no barco e durante o mergulho. Eles estão extremamente familiarizados com os locais de mergulho, tenho certeza que sabem o paradeiro de todos os residentes subaquáticos! Adoro a etiqueta de mergulho deles!   We booked our daughter in for the final part of her open water course. Both Jo and Steve were spot on and very professional. You can tell immediately that they are experienced divers and very knowledgeable of all local dive sites and water conditions. Both times our daughter came back she had a smile and was very relaxed. The gear that they have is quality and enough to suit all seasons (as we were there at the end of October). They have Go Pro cameras, which means that you can buy the photos and videos for €20.   Excelente clube de mergulho Muito profissional ! Fiz 2 mergulhos de 12 milhões com a equipe e foi realmente ótimo! Já se passaram 2 anos desde a última vez que mergulhei e eles conseguiram me colocar de volta no ritmo das coisas facilmente. Excelente atendimento e preço muito justo!! Fomos de lancha até o recife e muitas coisas para ver. Não esperava ver tudo isto em Portugal. Foi realmente uma ótima experiência! Entrei em contato com a Easy Diver, mas não o mesmo serviço e senti que eles estavam lá apenas pelo dinheiro. Já aqui eles são verdadeiros entusiastas do mergulho!   Just completed my open water dive with Jo and Steve. The communication with Jo throughout the booking was clear. Upon arrival Jo did my training in the pool and in the sea. Although I struggled with some aspects, Jo was patient, professional and encouraging - helping me to overcome the problems I had. Happy to recommend!   I enrolled my daughter on a bubble maker course with Indigo. Jo took great care of her. Taught her the basics in the pool and provided a great introduction to scuba diving.   I wish I could give higher than five stars - Jo, Dean and Steve took such great care of me when I was diving with them that even though I only dived for two days, they felt like family - but the good kind who you like spending time with. They made sure that I was warm - quite a feat in the cold Atlantic! - and ensured that all of us were safe at all times. They were able to meet the needs of divers at really varied levels, which can be tricky. I appreciate that they had us assemble and take apart our own gear - this is a continued learning opportunity. We saw octopus, cuttlefish, spider crabs, conger eels, tons of nudibranch, and other various reef fish; the plant life is abundant and pretty as well. Note: please let the center know ahead of time whether you are certified, as some girls showed up my first day having said they were when they booked but actually weren't. This is a small business, and every booking matters. Thank you so much for the brilliant dives, guys!   Well, couple of things here! If you want the experience of diving this is not the place. If you had dive before and you think you can dive here as you did before it is not the place. They will say that it was a miscommunication thing, you won't be able to dive and they even will not talk about the deposit (so you will lose it) 1. Requested a quote for diving. 2. Received an email with the information and mentioned everywhere of insurance included in the dive price. 3. Tell the company that there is a new person and a person that had dive the year previous. 4. Receive no response and assume that everything was OK as you told them the divers experience. 5. Arrive to the place at the expected hour. 6. Company saying oh sorry the must have been a communication, bit you cannot dive. Of you have told us we should have make the arrangements. So, I would recommend to not get close to this place or you will lose your money and they will just mentioned that there was a mis communication, even though you communicated and paid your deposit. The water was so icy cold when we went in May but we did get to see cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranches and stuff it was fun!   It was a pleasure to dive with Indigo Divers in my trip to Algarve. Great communication before the dive to set up and coordinate and I appreciated their realism and honesty in setting expectations for the experience. The equipment was new and in great condition and our guide Jo has many years of experience teaching and guiding divers around here and was great in pointing out various nooks and crannies that the interesting creatures inhabit here. Overall if your diving in Algarve I recommend them but caution, the northeast side of the atlantic ocean is very cold and you'll be thankful of the thick wetsuits they provide.   Organised everything online before arriving and felt well communicated with. On the day of the dives the weather had turned and we had to reschedule. Not an issue as it happens. Good quality equipment that was well maintained. The dive sites were a lot more lush than I had expected and we saw plenty. My friend had some difficulties and they coached him through it so we both enjoyed the dives. I felt in good hands with Jo and Steve and would absolutely return. On the last dive there were some dolphins swimming nearby so Steve took us to go and see these amazing animals before returning.   Octopus and HUGE cuttlefish were my highlights today. Not sure what happened to people who gave bad reviews here, but Jo was welcoming and I always felt safe during my dives with Steve.   A great two day diving experience. Jo and Steve brought us to some interesting dive sites in the Albufeira sea area. We saw a lot of octopuses, crabs, sea stars, urchins, nudibranch (colourful sea snails), sea cucumbers, a giant eel and even a cuttlefish! We managed to spot the many well hidden octopuses and crabs which we would have missed were it not for Jo. She also gave helpful advice to my dad to assist him in diving.   Completed my PADI Open Water certification pool dive and open water dives with Indigo Divers, all over a span of 3 days. Jo was very quick to respond and organize everything. I did the pool and open water dives one-on-one with Steve. The attention to safety and education made me very comfortable throughout, especially because I did it all solo. The equipment was brand new, worked great, and kept me very warm even in cold water. While the conditions were not great, I still got to see octopus, eels, starfish and a few other things. Steve took pictures and videos throughout the dives which I purchased for 20 euro total after the 3 days. I would highly recommend diving with Indigo Divers if looking to dive in Albufeira.   I had my first dive experience with Jo who couldn’t be any more professional, reassuring or helpful. We asked an abundance of questions and she was happy to answer them all. I got through the training in the pool with relative ease thanks to Jo and her clear instructions and demonstrations and then continued to have a good swim around the pool with all the kit on. When we moved to the next day we went out for the sea dive which was slightly more intimidating however with Jo I knew I was in safe hands. I had a great dive and experienced some minor issues which Jo assisted me with and then even when I got foot cramp on the sea bed I was able to communicate to Jo the issue and she was able to help me get rid of the cramp while remaining fully calm and in control. The pictures are second to none and really help you relive the whole experience and great to share around and treasure. Would recommend Jo and the team to anybody and I will be returning in the future.   I had an absolute fantastic diving experience with Steve and Jo in Albufeira despite challenging weather conditions. The whole team is super friendly, professional and all around helpful. Despite a rough sea and limited visibility I always felt safe. And we spotted SO much sea life, from the tiniest nudi branch to cuttle fish, crabs and many, many octopus 🥹 I'd give six stars if I could!   Just finished my Advanced Open Water with Indigo Divers. Jo was very friendly and reassuring when we were feeling nervous on our first deep dive. Steve however is very impatient and was quick to shout at me when I had trouble descending and made me feel uncomfortable during that dive. Both Steve and Jo know the dive sites extremely well which is a bonus as they know exactly where all the interesting marine life is. Lots of life and friendly octopus and some rays to see. We also went on a trip to Sagres and dove in the caves which was an awesome experience. Overall was great (despite my mishap with Steve) and loved it so thank you!   Uma opinião mista, como a nossa sessão de mergulho. O programa para iniciantes é completo: instruções técnicas e de segurança, exercícios para compreender o equipamento e habituar-se à situação numa agradável piscina exterior e depois mergulhar no mar. Nosso arrependimento: Steve foi muito diretivo e pouco amigável com os estagiários. O mergulho é um exercício que pode ser estressante no mar, que requer tempo de adaptação. No entanto, Steve não tem paciência, o que não gera confiança. Pena para um programa voltado para iniciantes e para um esporte onde “é preciso se divertir” como indicado quando chegamos ao centro. Tenha também em atenção que infelizmente terá de pagar uma taxa adicional de 20€ para recolher as fotos da sessão.

  Dived with these a while back. The dive sites were good but this centre is not. We were two experienced divers, 100+ dives. Paid up front for the first time in my 20 years of diving all over the world... maybe that is just Portugal? Gear was fine. The problem lies with Steve, he is a grumpy guy, I thought at first it was dry humour, but no, he is actually just miserable. The vis on the dives was very bad (3m kind of bad!) obviously not their fault, but during our second dive we got separated after 30mins. We hunted for them for 5 mins but then surfaced, as instructed by Steve prior. He then had the gall to have a go at us in the boat afterwards for surfacing. We pointed out that was his instructions... On the drive back he was banging on about 'sunshine' divers and 'real' divers... well Steve, I guess I am a sunshine diver because I do it for fun, not to prove something to you. Us sunshine divers account for the vast majority so I hope the attitude has changed since we dived back then. If you scuba dive for fun, go elsewhere. Ressaltamos que essas eram suas instruções... No caminho de volta, ele estava falando sobre mergulhadores “de sol” e mergulhadores “reais”... bem, Steve, acho que sou um mergulhador de sol porque faço isso por diversão, não para provar algo para você. Nós, mergulhadores do sol, somos a grande maioria, então espero que a atitude tenha mudado desde que mergulhamos naquela época. Se você mergulha por diversão, vá para outro lugar. Se você quiser provar seu valor contra um profissional 'de verdade', este é o lugar para você!

I wasn't too much impressed with the underwater life in this location, mainly because visited Bahamas and Virgin Islands prior, but from knowledge and experience perspective, the dives were very valuable.   My last dive was 28 years ago so I was a bit of a worry wart showing up @ Indigo Divers for a birthday present dive with my husband. Welcomed with a beautiful smile from Jo & hilarious joke from Steve the owners of the only PADI shop in Albufeira, I knew we were in good hands. They reminded us kindly of all the skills again & again as my nerves took over in the refresher course in the pool. They continued to support & remind us with great patience in the sea. They were very professional during our training and really made sure that we mastered the different skills.   Jo and Steve are amazing they are of the most welcoming and will help you with anything you need. There are a wide diversity of dive sites, where, you can observe most of the Atlantic and Mediterranean fauna. I had my first experience with Indigo divers back in 2006/2009, they are the reason I'm a diver today. So totally recommend! Was good to also see Gina and Tiago again! Thanks for awesome the day!   I highly recommend indigo divers Albufeira if you are interested in discovering the under water magical world. I have just finished PADI open water dive qualifications with them. It challenging in its own way yet immensely rewarding at the end. Steve and Jo are truly passionate about diving and both have great knowledge with the area& sites plus their years of diving experience under their belts. Their equipment and gear are in top condition, and they really do put the effort to looking after it. They really care about marine life and have great awareness to protect the environment. I would recommend Steve and Jo 100%, you will walk away with an unforgettable diving experience and if you are lucky maybe some awesome under water diving pictures as well. Steve is a great underwater photographer. He took lots of interesting underwater picture of me with local marine life and I am absolutely delighted to have them as a record for my first ever unforgettable diving memories in Protugal.   My 19 year old daughter did the DSD (discover Scuba Dive), same as Try a Dive. Steve and Jo were so kind professional and informative. Their equipment was modern and in great condition. The facilities were great and the training pool had lots of different depths in it, so you got a true feel for depth. Steve was so patient and very knowledgeable so she felt safe and at ease at all times. Their RIB (boat) was properly kitted out with plenty of storage space. My son did a try a dive last year in a different dive school last year in Portugal but we found Indigo divers more professional- ensuring my daughter learnt a lot (less money grabbing). Safety was paramount at all times, she totally enjoyed herself, the location chosen was excellent with plenty of marine life and created so much interest for a first time diver, she saw octopus and lots of colourful fish. I would rate this dive centre very high and would recommend it. Lots of photos and videos were taken under the water and for a small charge were given to her before she left on a memory stick.   My son George completed his 4 day PADI Open Water diving Course with Indigo Diving in August. From start to finish Jo, Steve and the team were a pleasure to deal with. From initial email months ago for information to actually arriving at the centre communication was excellent. Once we arrived and I left George age 14 with Jo and the team I had full confidence that George would be well looked after and he was. He came away each day full of confidence and enthusiasm and successfully completed the course. Indigo diving team are very professional, equipment and instruction are second to none and the confidence they gave my son was brilliant. I would recommend these guys to anyone and we will certainly use them again.   Just wanted to acknowledge good service from Jo and the dive centre, having received during high season a timely response to my email enquiry that exceeded expectations in terms of the comprehensive content (and was no doubt prepared at the end of a long day!) While I have not dived with this organisation yet (unfortunately I have had to postpone my holiday), I certainly plan to do so when I visit the Algarve in the hopefully not too distant future! I note others' excellent reviews for the Dive Centre given both here and on TripAdvisor.   Escola de mergulho ruim. Por favor, tente evitá-lo. Meu amigo não tinha mais oxigênio por causa de instrumentos ruins. O professor de mergulho Steve não é recomendado. Observe também os outros comentários ruins aqui. Não fomos os únicos que nos sentimos sozinhos. Não é uma boa escola de mergulho, talvez haja um ou dois instrutores de mergulho que estejam bem, mas por favor não mergulhe com Steve. Não tem interesse em seus clientes e é agressivo sem perceber.

  I've been diving with Indigo for several years, last year i did my rescue course with them. Jo and Steve really put me through the tests, definitely no easy passes and i felt more confident and proud of what i'd achieved after completing it. Safety is always their number one priority as it should be, i always felt reassured diving with them. The dive sites are varied, the wrecks are awesome and Sagres caves are among my favourite ever dives. Can't wait to visit again next year!   Where do i Start.... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.! I have been to Indigo a few times now and find the experience fantastic. My first experiance as a novice with my OW cert, i informed Steve that i get sea sickness and i was taken care of the whole trip made sure i was hydrated. The dives where great best id done seeing i learnt in the english channel. The following year i did my deep spec but due to appalling weather i couldnt finish it. So i came back and finished it later on that year so it wasnt referred.Jo and steve are top class instructors or they would not be 5☆ rated, i wish i could spend my time with them to do my dive master and idc In my opinion if you dont have a good experience with indigo divers you probably shouldnt be in the water.   My 13 year old daughter and I have been diving for some years but we are holiday divers, so welcome any advice. We have recently returned from Portugal diving with Indigo. Dennis and Steve were diving with us and Steve gave me helpful hits on remembering how to put the equipment together so I could do it myself on the second dive. Dennis was very good underwater reminding me to check where my fins were, so I didn´t damage any life, and Steve was talking photos of us with lots of sea life (great memories to have & show the family). After the dive they helped with the equipment so we could get on the boat, and back at the centre we did all the logbooks and looked at the fish ID slates. We had a great mornings diving, and I can honestly say I trusted them completely with my daughter in the water - they were knowledgeable and clear, but expected you to pay attention and respect your surroundings. I would highly recommend them. Thanks also to Jo in the dive centre (and good luck on your first baby) helping with all paperwork and checking everthing went well. Looking forward to visiting again.   On Saturday, 2nd September, 2017 in Albufeira, aged 53 and 3/4's I did a DSD with Indigo, my instructor was Steve Harley (himself a master diver, cool dude and all-round-good-guy. The dive centre is welcoming and well equipped and after the required paperwork and introduction video we proceeded to the adjacent pool for the practice of skills and then onward to the dive site. This was my first ever diving experience and it was awesome! Am I a natural, did I take to it like a mermaid? No, I did not! But, I can honestly say that with the attentive patience of Steve and the team at Indigo I was able to enjoy and complete a dive to 12m which was a really positive experience and has left me with a thirst to try it again. I would recommend Indigo to anyone; you'll be in very safe hands.   I am a 2 star CMAS. Definitely would not recommend. The couple had a very weird attitude. Unfriendly and unprofessional. I felt uncomfortable and after I was out of the water I didn't feel very well (felt like i was intoxicated). But they did not seem to care. My worse diving experience so far.   Great couple of dives, the vis was OK as there had been some storms a few days earlier. Jo was open and honest about what to expect and the possible outcomes, so knew what we were getting, and considering the vis was not at its best the dive was great and we saw lots of wildlife.. some truly magnificent eels, the biggest I have seen, octopus.. saw maybe 12.. huge trigger fish among others and spider crabs bigger than a football. My partner and I are training for SAA/CMAS club diver and found these dives great fun. If it's your 1st dive or your 100th the indigo will deliver in sure, a good fun, professional company.
